Writing Recount

Today, we wrote a recount about a special event in our writing group. I choose New Years. Here is what I wrote:
On New Years Eve 2017, My family had a gathering in Christchurch.We had a gathering because it is New Years and we want to have fun. First I played some video games with my brothers. We played basketball games, shooting games and some FIFA (Football/soccer game). We went and played some basketball outside, my brother was talk trashing but I actually beat him.


After that we got hungry so my mum made kebabs, dumplings, Chicken and Rice. It tasted so good, it is traditional food. They made the kebab on the BBQ while we were playing basketball. After that we watched some TV.


After that we had some desert. We had a banana cake with chocolate icing that is my favourite cake. Also we had some dried fruit and almonds. We had a whole block of chocolate and some doritos. At this time I started playing Fortnite, which is my favourite game now.  After that we went to the park to setup the fireworks. We ate some lollies and we set of the fireworks. It went BANG! It was so awesome.
