How does Basketball Work?

In writing, we have been doing explanation writing. We got to pick our own topic I picked basketball. Here it is:

Question I am Answering:  How does Basketball work?
Basketball is a sport that you bounce a ball and try to get it in the hoop. The hoop is 10 feet. The hoop has a backboard so can bounce the ball into the hoop. In a real Basketball game there is 5 a side. Basketball was invented by Canadian Dr. James Naismith. It was invented in 1891. A shot from inside the three point line is two points. If it is on the three point line or behind it, it is 3 points.

There are fouls in Basketball, here are some: Travel if you take more than 3 steps holding the ball, double dribble is when you dribble then pick up the ball and then dribble again, a shooting foul is when you shoot and someone does too much contact. You get free throws from a shooting foul. There are 4 quarters and the quarters are 12 minutes each (in a real Basketball game). The best basketball player is LeBron James (in my opinion). He stands at 6 feet (2.03m) he also weighs 113 kg. He is good at shooting, defence, rebounding, passing, shot blocking, dunking and dribbling.

There are 5 positions in basketball, theres point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and centre. Most Basketball players are strong and tall. The NBA is the league where the best players go to. You can watch the NBA on TV. Basketball is one of the popular and widely viewed sports. The NBA team with the most titles is Celtics with 17 and 2nd is Lakers with 16. Celtics also have the most wins with 3,329 wins.
If you want to shoot you hold the ball with your non dominant hand and you flick the ball with the other hand into the hoop.  The most used skill is through the legs so all you do is bounce the ball through your legs. Millions of people watch the NBA. It is very hard to make it to the NBA. There is a lot of pressure in the NBA because there is millions of people watching especially in the NBA Finals. The NBA finals is the two best teams of the season versing each other. It is the best out of 7 games.

Before the NBA Finals, it’s the NBA Playoffs. Where it is all the NBA teams versing, it is best out of 7 so it is a tournament and that leads up to the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors won 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are the best teams. The Cavaliers are one of the best because they have the best player carrying, he is “LeBron James”. He is only best player on team and he still carried the team to a championship in 2016 and carried them to the NBA Finals every time since.

Their biggest rivals are the Golden State Warriors, they have the best players, they have: Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson those are the best players on the team. The Cavaliers only have LeBron James.
If you work hard enough and commit, you could make to the NBA and be just like LeBron James. The league below the NBA is college basketball. Basketball is very hard to get used to because there is a lot of fouls. You can injured in Basketball if you take a shot and jump and land in a weird position. Being a NBA player is hard because you have to show up to training, you have make your team and fans proud but you do get a lot of money for being in the NBA.

If you want to take a shot, a defender will most likely be there so you have to shoot over them so you don't get blocked from the defender. There is a outline in basketball if you step out with the ball or the ball hits behind the outline, it is out! You could get ejected from the game for doing too much fouls or fighting or arguing with the referees
